OneTruckTools.com publishes independent reviews and real pricing breakdowns of field service software — tested for solo cleaners, landscapers, handymen, detailers, and every other one-truck business. No enterprise fluff. No sales reps. Just what works when the whole company is you.
Most software reviews are written for companies with office managers and ten technicians. That’s not you. Every review on this site answers one question: is this worth it when you’re the owner, the tech, the dispatcher, and the accountant?
We test free plans first, count every hidden fee, and tell you when a spreadsheet honestly beats a subscription. Some links earn us a commission at no cost to you — it never changes a verdict, and we say no to tools we wouldn’t run our own truck on.
How we review
We are independent reviewers, not vendors. Our process is deliberately built to catch the things that bite solo operators after they sign up — the per-user fees, the features locked behind a higher tier, the “contact sales for pricing” walls.
- We buy the plans. Where it matters, we pay for the same plans you would and use them as a real customer — including cancelling — rather than relying on a vendor demo account.
- We verify every price. Pricing is checked against each vendor’s own published pricing page and dated, so you always know when a number was last confirmed. When a vendor hides pricing behind a quote, we say so plainly instead of guessing.
- We test solo-operator scenarios. We run the workflows a one-person business actually uses — quoting a job, invoicing, taking a card, scheduling around drive time — not the ten-technician dispatch features that fill most reviews.
- We say when free wins. If a free plan or a simple spreadsheet does the job better than a paid subscription for a solo operator, that’s the recommendation — even when there’s no commission in it for us.
When something can’t be verified, we say so instead of guessing. And when we get something wrong, we fix it — corrections are welcome and we act on them.

Trust on a review site comes down to one thing: whether the money changes the verdict. Here, it doesn’t.
